Back a couple of months ago my car air conditioner went out. I took my car to the local Toyota dealership to get it checked out. That same day Toyota rep called me to tell me my car air conditioner was fixed (said they replaced a valve) which was 170.00 parts and labor. So far so good. After a few day of driving the air conditioner went out again so I went back to the dealership and they told me it was the air conditioner evaporator needed to be replaced and said the cost would be $2,200 to fix it because the entire dash had to be pulled out. This started my quest to find a repair shop that had the experience to do the job at a reasonable price. I decided I would get three quotes, the first local auto repair I called said they would do the job for $1,900 and would take 3 days, the next local repair shop said they would do the job for $1,400. The next auto repair shop I called quoted me $1,274, that repair shop was Honest-1. After I read their reviews that were very good, I called Honest-1 back and talked to Joe and made an appointment the next day at 9 am and left the car off at Honest-1 and Joe said I could pick it up the next day. The next day joe called at to tell me that a part was still working but he recommended changing it since there would be no labor charge because the dash had already been dismantled and the part was $43.oo added on to the bill which came to 1,317. The next day Joe called at 3 pm to tell me my car was ready to pick up before 5. Before picking up my car I noticed on their website they were running a summer special that offered $100.00 off a purchase of $700.00. When I arrived to pay for a/c repair I asked Joe had he already used the coupon, and to my suprise he said no and took the $100.00 off. The final bill was $1 217 with a 3 year or 36,000 mile waranty.
